In 2019, my wife found herself on the wrong end of a Rattlesnake. She’s a good person, but the snake thought otherwise. Three days later she came home from the hospital. All that being said, there is a certain beauty about these reptiles. I made this photograph in mid-July in Northern Colorado. It was prime time for these snakes.

In this 2024 artist spotlight, Capture Integration explores Jeff Puckett's creative process, his Phase One camera systems, and his dedication to traditional photogravure printmaking.
Beyond the technical aspects of his work, Jeff discusses the philosophy that guides his photography: Finding Beauty in the Unexpected. Whether photographing landscapes, still-life compositions, or often overlooked everyday objects, Jeff is drawn to subjects that others might pass by without noticing. His photographs invite viewers to discover beauty in unexpected places and appreciate the extraordinary qualities of seemingly ordinary subjects. This philosophy carries through to his printmaking, where the choice of materials, techniques, and printing processes becomes part of the artistic expression.
Choosing fine art photography for your home isn't simply about filling an empty wall. The right photograph can change the feeling of a room, create a focal point, and become a topic of conversation.
But with so many photographs, sizes, printing processes, and framing options available, how do you choose? I’d suggest you start with the artwork rather than the décor. The best choice is a photograph that speaks to you first and complements your space second.
For the first time, Jeff Puckett shares the stories, inspiration, and experiences that have shaped his life as a photographer, printmaker, and aviator.
